Introduction
The purpose of the Early Childhood Education for English Learners (ELs) course is to support educators with young students whose primary language is not English. Early childhood education for ELs is critical for language and literacy development. Thus, preschool programs must purposefully design instruction and include home-school connections specifically for ELs. The following course will provide teachers and administrators a better understanding of how to design early childhood instruction to meet the needs of ELs’ language development as well as how to examine the critical areas of academic success.
