Knowledge and Skills Statement

Composition: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking using multiple texts--writing process. The student uses the writing process recursively to compose multiple texts that are legible and uses appropriate conventions.

As students complete the revision process for a piece of writing, have them share their completed, written work with the audience for which it was written. For example, an argumentative essay regarding a concern with a store, restaurant or place of business will be presented to that entity.
