The student is expected to identify and discuss what information is safe to share online such as hobbies and likes and dislikes and what information is unsafe such as identifying information.
Knowledge and Skills Statement
Digital citizenship--privacy, safety, and security. The student practices safe, legal, and ethical digital behaviors to become a socially responsible digital citizen.
Demonstrated Proficiency
Perform a quick check during small-group or one-on-one instruction.
Have the students give a thumbs up or thumbs down if a specific type of information is safe or unsafe to share online. Ask them to explain their answer.

- The weather
- What they learned in art class
- Personal phone number
- Where a person lives
