the rules broadly agreed upon as standard for communicating in written or oral form
The writing process includes a sequence of steps that allows students to write texts for a variety of purposes and audiences. The basic steps consist of prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, proofreading, and publishing. As students move through the stages of the writing process and refine their work, they may find themselves revisiting a prior step. This recursive (or repetitive) approach allows students to identify problematic areas and refine their work.
