Developing and sustaining foundational language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking--beginning reading and writing. The student develops word structure knowledge through phonological awareness, print concepts, phonics, and morphology to communicate, decode, and spell.
Demonstrated Proficiency of ELA.K.2.D.iv
Use a big book, song chart, or other print material. Ask students to find words in the printed material. Provide highlighting tape or a marker so students can visually show the words. Then ask them to find letters.
